Administration of Drugs

  • We will only administer PRESCRIBED MEDICATION that your child is on provided we know the dosage and times it was given in the past 24 hours.

Should your child require medication you will be asked to complete a form authorising the Head of Nursery/Deputy Manager to administer it.

All medicine will need to be in correct bottle with your child’s name and correct date on it. Inhalers will also need to be in correct box with name on.

For Your Child’s Comfort Please Provide:

    • Supply of disposable nappies (if applicable).
    • Several change of clothes for children who are toilet training.
    • Named comforter (if used).
    • Named outdoor shoes or wellingtons. (Please ensure your children wear sensible shoes - no open toed sandals, slingbacks, flip flops or clogs).
    • Named coats when necessary.
    • Named sun hat and sun cream of factor 30 and above during the summer term. Parents will need to sign a permission form for sun cream to be administered. (Back of prospectus)

Please ensure that your children’s coats, boots and other belongings are clearly named. The College is not able to accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the personal property of students and/or their children whilst on College premises.

    Please Remember:

‘Messy play’ forms a large part of our activities – play clothes rather than best clothes are advised!

If your child is able to use the toilet by themselves the easier their clothing is to remove the less likely they are to have “accidents”. (The Nursery has a limited supply of spare clothes. Please can parents/carers remember to return these if they are borrowed!).

Toys should not be brought into the Nursery unless they are used as a comforter. We have found at times when toys have been bought in that this has caused conflict between the children, they have become upset if the toys are lost, broken or not taken home.

Thank you for your continued support.
